Due to an overwhelming amount of phone calls requesting information on #USArmy Soldiers, civilians and dependents in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, we ask you contact the American Red Cross on their websites or call 1-877-272-7337.
Information to Have Ready
When contacting the Red Cross to locate a Service Member, be prepared to provide the following information (if you do not have all of the information, please use the phone option):
Service member information
· Full legal name
· Branch of service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard)
· Social Security number or Date of Birth
· Military unit address
· Information about the deployed unit and home base unit (for deployed service members only)

The American Red Cross Safe and Well page allows those affected by disasters to let loved ones know that they are safe. Family members and friends can search the list of those that have registered on Safe and Well at https://safeandwell.communityos.org/cms/index.php

The Federal Affairs Administration for Puerto Rico has a hotline at 202-778-0710 for friends and family members to to check on the status of loved ones in Puerto Rico. Be advised that this may not be functional with based on communications infrastructure damaged by the storm.
