'Fort Sam’s Own' 323rd Army Band to perform patriotic concert at The Alamo

‘Fort Sam’s Own’ 323d Army Band alongside the 313th Army Band will perform in concert at The Alamo, July 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

The patriotic performance is free to the public and will feature songs and medleys such as: “God Bless America,” “Battle Hymn of the Republic,” and “Variations of a Shaker Melody.”

Led by Chief Warrant Officer 4 Jared DeLaney, the concert band featuring 41 Active-Duty U.S. Army musicians, is headquartered at Fort Sam Houston and assigned to U.S. Army North.

The 313th Army Band, an Army Reserve band stationed at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, joins ‘Fort Sam’s Own’ for this special combined performance.  

   The Independence Day weekend concert is held in conjunction with other activities and demonstrations at The Alamo from Friday, July 2 through Sunday, July 4.
