FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas - Major General Scott M. Sherman currently serves as the Commanding General of US Army North. He is assigned as the Deputy Commanding General -Support and Deputy Commanding General - National Guard for United States Army North (5th Army). Additionally, he serves as the Commander of Task Force 51, US Army North’s Contingency Command Post, which specializes in Command and Control of Federal Military support during Homeland Defense and Defense Support of Civil Authorities operations.
