What is the Future of Homeland Defense Project?

The Future of Homeland Defense Project is a collaborative effort between the Army and industry subject matter experts whose primary goal is to focus on emerging technological advancements in an array of topics to find ways to protect and enhance Homeland Defense efforts now through 2040. The Project will drive a broader understanding of the challenges, threats, and opportunities that unprecedented technological developments are creating for U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command, and the U.S. Army. Homeland Defense requires understanding the impact of emerging technologies on the homeland and the ways in which our adversaries and aggressors may seek to disrupt our way of life. Protecting the American people and their way of life remains our #1 priority.
